Lockdown:

These paintings were done at the beginning of COVID, it was Easter and the whole country was in lockdown. Andrea Bocelli sang to the empty streets of Milan. The world was gripped with fear. This work is a testament to my little world, reduced in size to soap and toilet roles initially and extending to flour, yeast and eggs. My wardrobe of clothes and shoe lying quietly dormant. Still. There were beautiful moments, buds coming out, roots shooting up and the sounds of the birds. Hope.
